Keith King to run for State Senate

    ● Keith King unanimously nominated at SD 12 Assembly

Keith enjoyed the support of hundreds at the Senate District 12 Assembly on March 8.  Introduced by former Senator Ed Jones, County Commissioner Dennis Hisey, and the retiring Senate Majority Leader Andy McElhany, Keith was the delegates' unanimous choice. Senator McElhany said, "When Keith first ran for office, I told people that he had two great virtues.  I said that he was smart and that he works very hard.  As it turned out, he proved me right."

During his acceptance speech, Keith expressed his vision for the district and the State of Colorado.  He promised that he would spend the majority of his time working on education and finance issues, making state government more responsive to citizens' needs and interests, and preventing government intrusion into people's personal lives.  Keith talked about the three charter schools he helped create and how they have given parents the opportunity to send their student to the school of their choice.  Government should service the unique needs of the student, not dictate the way government services must be delivered.
